In the struggle for survival of Cancer there were things I grabbed onto hoping just to survive. People, things and places. I created new memories out of old to find strength.
One of my greatest friends in my darkest hours were the words of Dr. Wayne Dyer. Whether through reading his books, or listening to his voice on the variety of CD’s given to me. He was my constant companion.
I always had a dream that one day I could meet him and thank him.
Two weeks ago I saw him live at an event in Brisbane, speaking with clarity, humanity and of course humour.
Today I learn he has passed away.
I hung onto so many of his words, they warmed me, but more so taught me. I loved him, he helped me.
I wish I had wise words to share or comfort, but the best words are his, and will always ring in me
I hope these help you if you share grief with me.
“Change the way you look at things and the things you look at change.”
― Wayne W. Dyer
“With everything that has happened to you, you can either feel sorry for yourself or treat what has happened as a gift. Everything is either an opportunity to grow or an obstacle to keep you from growing. You get to choose.”
― Wayne W. Dyer
“When you judge another, you do not define them, you define yourself.”
― Wayne W. Dyer
And finally
“Passion is a feeling that tells you: this is the right thing to do. Nothing can stand in my way. It doesn’t matter what anyone else says. This feeling is so good that it cannot be ignored. I’m going to follow my bliss and act upon this glorious sensation of joy.”
― Wayne W. Dyer
Namaste my friends, we all have an amazing angel to look up to now
